VOLCANA BRAINSTORM -FANTASTIC SKETCH EDITION

ELENA KNOX artist workshop

SATURDAY November 19
10am-12pm JST

Mixed Media Workshop with ELENA KNOX (in-person only)

Lend your wild ideas to an open question in experimental science, as we let our brains storm fantastically through Japan, Hawaii, Australia, and Outer Space. In this 3rd edition of critically acclaimed Volcana Brainstorm, developed in Japan by Australian artist Elena Knox, workshop participants will imagine, schematize, and casually pitch their own artwork or invention that addresses the following problem: “How can we encourage red shrimp to mate in the Ecosphere?”

For more information click here

Registration (advance booking required by 17 November): https://volcanabrainstorm-fantastic.peatix.com

The workshop is cross-media. You can participate in any form: what matters is that you have fun and aim to help shrimp! Past contributions have included poetry, biology, filmmaking, net art, sculpture, costume, performance, sound, photography, and more. Some rough collage and craft materials are provided, but participants are asked to also bring what they might need, at minimum some paper and pens/pencils.
