DRESSING KAWAII

SUNDAY December 11
2-4 pm AEDT (12-2 pm JST)

The Festival of the Fantastic in Australian and Japanese Arts invites the kawaii fashion community in Australia to meet and chat with Harajuku street model, Haruka Kurebayashi.

Kurebayashi will be joining us via zoom. Online and in-person attendance is available for this event.

During this event we will discuss how kawaii fashion is transformational, as part of the festivals‘ exploration of the fantastic in Japanese and Australian Arts.

We also encourage guests to dress up in their own outfits inspired by the theme “Australian kawaii”.

This is an in-community event, open to those who wear kawaii fashion and their friends and family, as well as artists, academics, writers and other creatives with an interest in the culture. To sign up for this event, you will be asked some screening questions to determine if you meet the attendance criteria.

Joint the Festival to book this event.
